Mission and objectives:
The research centre is subordinated to the research strategy at FSEAP level and is deeply anchored in the international, national and regional context, through the activity of CERC members and existing collaborations. CERC-Tour is initiated to facilitate research and the establishment of research teams in tourism, to increase the quality of research and to strengthen cooperation with various economic agents and institutions of local authorities.

The set-up of the centre was based on the significant contribution of USV in the development and promotion of the Bucovina destination, but also on the importance of the contributions made by FSEAP teachers in the field of tourism science and business administration.
The scientific research is carried out in two directions:

a) within the faculty, individually or in a team, on scientific or interdisciplinary fields;

b) in cooperation with other institutions or economic agents, having a practical- applicative character.

The field of tourism is one of the fields with tradition within FSEAP, being the first specialization of this faculty.
The Faculty of Economics and Public Administration (FSEAP) initiates and participates in research programs in collaboration with universities, centres and institutions from Romania and from other European Union countries, on tourism topics, as well as with local and central public administration authorities. FSEAP was invited to contribute to the implementation of tourism strategies for Suceava Municipality, for Suceava County, for other destinations in the county, and for destination management
associations (Association for Tourism Bucovina, Association for Tourism Development and Promotion Sucevita, Vama, etc.).

At the same time, FSEAP academic staff cooperated with important international organizations in tourism development projects, among which we mention: GIZ (Gesellschaft fuer Internationale Zusammenarbeit), NFI (Nature Friends International), WWF Romania (Danube-Carpathians Program), Romanian Ecotourism Association), Suceava Chamber of Commerce and Industry, North-East Development Agency.

CERC mission
